Crisis management of a manufacturing error allows Hard Rain client to continue to operate.
Product mis-labelling during the manufacturing process of a Hard Rain client, resulted in the deaths of thoroughbred horses. By consuming the contaminated produce, the valuable and much-loved horses had agonisingly slow deaths. The case became high profile as the media followed the plight of the heartbroken owners and their horses.
Hard Rain advised on the response from the manufacturer as well as the media and other interested parties. The client communicated to the wider equine community and the general public throughout the crisis, and made TV appearances apologising for the operational error.
The success of the crisis management means the client continues to operate in the market where it’s rebuilding its reputation.
